Tina Ellis (62) of Sun Lakes, Arizona, passed away early Sunday morning, September 4th, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. Tina was born to Charles Wayne & Dixie Lee Thompson on October 21st,1959. Tina is a 1977 graduate of Seneca High School, Seneca, Missouri.
Tina held various administrative positions early in her adult life ultimately leading to the medical and dental field where she worked for over 20 years. Tina considered the patients to be “her patients”. She treated them all with kindness, compassion and respect. Aside from the fact that she performed her duties with amazing accuracy, speed and efficiency, she was darn good at her work.
At home, Tina put family ahead of herself. With an eye for detail, Tina made sure husband and children were always prepared for whatever the day may bring. Tina was a wonderful cook. Baking treats such as “pig in a blanket” for the classroom and office was a common occurrence. Comfort dishes such as King Ranch Casserole or Chicken & Rice were her dinner specialties.
In recent years, Tina held a part time position at her community HOA office. She used that same kind, compassionate and friendly attitude to address the community residents and will be remembered by many whom she served in that role.
Tina is well known for her “million dollar” smile, which immediately delivers warmth to the receiving person. Her beauty is not only external, but deeply internal. She had an uncommon ability to befriend people with her warmth and sincerity. Her interaction with people is reflective of her deep faith in Jesus Christ. Luke 6:31 And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them.
Wherever Tina went, strangers approached to admire and comment on her hair. The truth is, it was the total package, hair, face, smile and internal beauty that completed this unforgettable person.
Tina leaves behind her loving husband of 35 years, Nathan Ellis, son Jerrod (Vannessa) Ellis, daughter Courtney (Hunter) Grams, Granddaughter Haidyn Grams, sister Roxane (Tony) Ritter, sister Tonya (Howard) Wood, brother Craig (Bernice) Thompson.
Please join the family to honor Tina’s life at a service to be held at the Risen Savior Lutheran Church, 23620 S. Alma School Road, Chandler, AZ in the Worship Center on Saturday, September 10th at 2:00 PM.
