On January 8, 2013 Michael was released from his long battle with epilepsy and entered the kingdom of heaven to reunite with his beloved Grandmother (Mema). Michael was born May 5, 1989 in Phoenix Arizona, the husband of Danielle Bailey and son of Richard and Kathleen Bailey. He attended Desert Vista HS in Ahwatukee and graduated from Prescott HS. Michael was an avid and talented artist and musician who loved to share his drawings, sketches, paintings and writings, all of which will be treasured by those fortunate to have them. Michael brought great joy to his family and friends with his incredible smile, comedic "routines" and all-around good natured attitude. Since his marriage with Danielle, Michael was especially happy being among and reuniting with his family and friends. He was a man with strong convictions and moral compass who often put others' needs above his own. He is survived by his wife Danielle, father Richard, mother Kathleen, sisters McKenna and Rebecca, brother Jeffrey, uncles Bob Bailey, John Liffrig, John Plotnicki, aunts Jan Bailey, Collen Liffrig and Mauren Plotnicki; and cousins. A memorial will be held on January 15, 2013 at Valley of the Sun Mortuary in Chandler, AZ 85225. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate notes of remembrance and, if you desire, donations to the Michael Bailey Memorial Fund, Wells Fargo Account # 6531831573 to benefit his beloved wife and the Epilepsy Foundation. www.valleyofthesunfuneralhome.com
Remembered Joy
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free!
I follow the plan God laid for me.
I saw His face, I heard His call,
I took His hand and left it all...
I could not stay another day,
To love, to laugh, to work or play;
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
And if my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss...
Ah yes, these things I, too, shall miss.
My life's been full, I've savoured much:
Good times, good friends, a loved-one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief—
Don't shorten yours with undue grief.
Be not burdened with tears of sorrow,
Enjoy the sunshine of the morrow.
