"It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of Joe E. Kirby Jr. Joe had just arrived at hospice care on June 30th where they made him comfortable, and he rested with some calming medication. We hoped he would only spend two days there and then come home. His heart was so weak and not working to its true capacity, which ended his life, he passed very peacefully.
Joe was an avid lover of Shelby Mustangs, he had a Shelby 65' GT350 when he was a teenager and a 2008 GT500 later in life. He cherished those cars and won many 1st place trophies over the years at several car shows, he was so proud of his cars.
Joe was a good man and friend to many all over New York, Arizona and California. He proudly served in the US Navy after highschool. He was an avid collector of milk bottles and has several special ones he acquired over the years. He worked for Anheuser Busch for over 22 years and had his snow plowing business for many years in New York. He loved wood working, which he continued to do when he came home the last time for the hospital. He was always very busy in his life and I was fortunate to have been with him for 10 years by my side. We had such great adventurous times during those years with his family and friends.
He leaves behind his mother Clara Davidowsky, sisters, brothers, daughter, grandchildren, aunt and cousins. His wife Rhonda Kirby preceded him in death in 2008. My Joe will be deeply missed by his Fiancé, my sons family, my daughters family, several grandchildren and friends. May he rest is peace with his family in heaven and know someday we will be together again. Goodbye for now my love and rest in peace."
