Gayle was a beautiful soul and the definition of a “mom” and always caring, kind, supportive, loving, friendly and cheerful. She was always available to give advice or just lend an ear to your problems. Whether it was making an elaborate birthday cakes or a from-scratch Halloween costume, she was always there for her kids.
Gayle was an avid reader and fan of the Atlanta Braves and Phoenix Suns. She was interested in genealogy, researching her family line and discovering new relatives along the way. Always creative, she knitted scarves and shawls and made greeting cards, which she sold at craft fairs.
She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and volunteered with Neighbors Who Care (an organization that assist the homebound, disabled, and/or frail elderly. They provides assistance in the areas of transportation, shopping/errands, grocery van transport, friendly visitation, reassurance calling, minor home repairs, business assistance, dinner delivery, and caregiver relief/respite.)
Gayle will be missed greatly by her husband Maynard and her children Michael and Melissa. She will be remembered fondly as an amazing mother and wife.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that friends make a donation in her name to the DAR (https://www.dar.org/giving/ways-give/donate-online) or Neighbors Who Care (https://neighborswhocare.com/donate/)
