Elaine Marie Sterner

Born December 3rd, 1961 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, she was the daughter of the late Evans H.(Pete) Craig and Eva (Oliver) Craig.

Elaine was a 1979 graduate of the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico where she studied Theater and the Performing Arts.

For the past 37 years she had been a Flight Attendant for America West Airlines, US Airways, and most recently American Airlines last working in January of this year. Elaine had a deep passion for going to Musicals and Movies with her daughter Taylor, reading Books, going to Concerts, watching her beloved Dallas Cowboys, spending time with her children, grand children, her Chihuahua Ginger, and being with her husband of nearly 15 years, Mike.

Elaine is survived by her husband, Michael S. Sterner; two sons, Justin C. and Ryan E. Hooper; a daughter, Taylor E. Lauson; and her two grandchildren Cameron L. and Kaylani S. Hooper. In addition, she is survived by two sisters, Ellen Ann Craig and Evangeline M. Craig, and a brother Evans Craig (Junior). She is predeceased by her sister, Jennifer Craig.

A memorial service will be held at Valley of The Sun Mortuary in Chandler, Arizona on Saturday, September 30th at 1 pm.
