Bette Lu Buchanan, age 78, of Sun Lakes, Arizona passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024. She was born in Manhattan Kansas on November 26, 1945. Bette Lu graduated from Manhattan High School and earned a degree in English from Kansas State University. She studied music in Boston and lived in Kansas City where she worked for an insurance company on the Plaza. She ultimately resided in Sun Lakes, Arizona where she retired from her career as an Real Estate Appraiser. She was actively involved in her community. She was an officer in her P.E.O. Chapter, was an avid golfer and planned outings with her Lady Niner Club regularly. She enjoyed, Mahjong, Bridge, singing, and playing piano. She is survived by her beloved Sister Annette Huff, daughters Amy Wilson, Tana Schlund, and Lara Rogers, as well as 5 grandchildren Mason, Robert, Esme, Emma, and Gracie Mae.
