Gary Lloyd Stanford

Born May 3,1938 in Sylva, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Claude and Alice Stanford (Parker.)

Gary is survived by his wife of 60 years, Billie. Additionally he is survived his son, Mark Stanford and his daughters, Dawn Calisto (Joseph) and JoAnna Stanford. His grandchildren; Darren Stanford, Nicole Haley(Todd,) Morgan Calisto, Rachel Calisto and Sami Eller (Trey,) and one great-grandchild; Chandler Haley. Gary’s brother-in-law James Caton (Judy,) also survives.

He was a graduate of Sylva-Webster High School and a 1961 graduate of North Carolina State University. He was employed for the Federal Communications Commissions in Washington, D.C. for several decades before retiring.

Gary was a member of the Gettysburg Foursquare Church.

A funeral service will be held on August 19, 2024 at 2pm at Gettysburg Foursquare Church, 328 W Middle St, Gettysburg, PA 17325, with Pastor Mark Chester officiating. A visitation will precede the funeral service at 1pm at the church.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
