Born on March 22, 1932 in Manns Choice, PA to the late Robert and Minerva (Wertz) Turner.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Robert Turner and sister, Mildred Holler.
Surviving Ethel are her daughters, Pamela Colberg and Jocelyn Steach; grandchildren, Darrell and Selena; and great grandchildren, Kyle, Caleb and Mikayla.
Ethel was an avid reader who could always be found with her nose deep in a book or newspaper, if there was nothing to read around she was even known to sneak mail to read as well. She enjoyed drives in the countryside, admiring the views especially around Christmas when she could look at all of the beautiful lights and decorations. She was also a fan of gardening back when she was able, and continued her love of flowers of all kinds even once she couldn’t garden herself any longer.
There will be a private burial in Parklawns Memorial Gardens; 3218 Philadelphia Ave, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
