Tammy Huguet Leger, 55, of Chalmette, Louisiana, passed away on September 8, 2022. She was born to parents Richard J. Huguet Sr. and Elizabeth LeBlanc Grelle, on July 25, 1967. Tammy worked countless years as a dedicated employee for the St. Bernard Parish School System. She loved putting smiles on the faces of the children of St. Bernard through her work as a cafeteria manager. She enjoyed playing with her grandchildren and adoring her cats. Tammy is preceded in death by her late husband, Paul "Billy" Leger, her parents Richard J. Huguet Sr. and Elizabeth LeBlanc Grelle. She is survived by her children Frederick C. Huguet, Heather B. Huguet, Therese H. Huguet, her grandchildren Chrisallen J. Assavedo IV, Chloe E. Assavedo, Charlotte R. Assavedo, Cajun A.P. Assavedo, and James “Jay” Melancon, and her siblings Robert “Dallas” Tomlin-Huguet, Anthony Mayeux, Amie H. Bess, Richard J. Huguet Jr., Troy Mayeux, Ruby Ann Dandridge, and Lee Huguet.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a gathering to celebrate Tammy’s life on Saturday, October 1, 2022, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A memorial service will be held in her honor at 1:00 PM. The family requests that you wear something blue – Tammy’s favorite color – in honor of her memory.
