Omer “Ike” L. Hingle passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2021. He was 93 years old. He was the devoted husband of Louise P. Hingle. Loving father of Chet Hingle (Darlene), and Ken Hingle (Nicole). Grandfather of Chet Hingle, Jr. (C.J.), Jared Hingle (Angie), Chelsey Hingle, and Ross Hingle. Brother of Ellen Hingle Monaco, Madeline Hingle Nunez, and Christy Hingle Leval. Uncle of Dale Nunez and Vernon Leval. Great-uncle of Darren Nunez. He also leaves behind many other relatives and dear friends.
Ike was a member of the Elks Lodge, an avid and skilled painter, and served as secretary of the Levee Board for several years. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be forever missed by all who knew him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, August 9, 2021, at OUR LADY OF LOURDES CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2621 Colonial Blvd in Violet, from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. A funeral mass will begin in his memory, at Noon. He will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
