Mary Lee Rivero passed away peacefully on December 30, 2021 at the age of 86. She was born in New Orleans and was a lifelong resident of Louisiana. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She is the loving mother of Emery Glenn Rivero Sr. (Janet Granier Rivero), Michael Rivero (Denise Rivero), Randy Joseph Rivero and Byron James Rivero (Kristi Martin Rivero). She was adored by her grandchildren Leslie Edmondson, Glenn Rivero Jr., Tera Rivero Thompson (Lucas Thompson), Seleste Rivero Coulon (Drake Coulon) and Talia Taylor Rivero: her great grandchildren Lexus Edmondson, William “Bill” Edmondson (Kelsey Edmondson) Brandon Krumm, Brooke Rivero, Carter Rivero Thompson and Eden Colette Thompson; her great great grandchildren Abel Edmondson and Aurora Edmondson; her brother Allen Taylor. Mary is preceded in death by her husband Emery Anthony Rivero; her parents Irvin Taylor and Edwina Taylor; her brother Mervyn Taylor and great great grandchild Leia Roniger.
Mary took great pride in caring for her family and friends. She was a faithful member of First Pentecostal Church of Chalmette where she was dearly loved. She was greatly loved and will be missed by us all.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at First Pentecostal Church of Chalmette, 2015 Palmisano Blvd. Chalmette, LA 70043 on Thursday January 6, 2022 from 10:00AM- 11:00AM. A funeral service will begin at 11:00AM. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Westwego.
