Leo was born in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish. He proudly served his country as a Staff Sargent for 9 years in the Army National Guard. He enjoyed fishing and bowling with friends and family and was a die-hard Saints fan who was known for cooking his well-loved artichokes and nachos for the games. His cooking skills weren’t limited to simple fan food as he also loved cooking “weenie stew” on special occasions. Leo was our favorite handy man, known as our “Leo of all trades” who could fix anything. He found pleasure in the details of everyday life and caring deeply for others. Leo will always be remembered for his loyalty and dedication to his family, his laughter, and spoiling the grandchildren. He was a wonderful example of what it means to care for others and will be deeply missed by us all.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, December 29th from 11:00AM – 1:00PM, followed by a funeral service in Leo’s memory beginning at 1:00PM. He will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
