James Pink Whittington, Jr. passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at the age of 63. Beloved son of James Pink Whittington, Sr. and the late Lucille Widas Whittington. Stepson of the late Joann Dillon Whittington. Father of Christopher James Whittington. Former husband of Mary Deichmann Whittington. Brother of Thomas Whittington (Karen), Michael Whittington, Angelique Whittington and the late Theresa Whittington and Jason Whittington. Uncle of Kyle, Codi, Matthew, Andrew, Brooke, Dylon and Chandler Whittington. Nephew of Alfred Whittington (the late Brenda).
James was a native of Hammond, LA and a long time resident of St. Bernard Parish. He was a former parishioner of St. Mark’s Catholic Church and a member of the St. Mark’s Marksmen for 15 years. James was an employee of Kaiser Aluminum for over 10 years. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, September 19, 2014 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Arcola – Roseland Cemetery, Roseland, LA.
