Danny Paul Gaspard, 62, passed away after a long illness on April 16, 2022. Beloved husband of Melissa Palmer Gaspard, Danny is survived by his daughter Michelle Gaspard O’Neill, son-in-law Timothy O’Neill, granddaughter and light of his life Catherine O’Neill, son Matthew Gaspard, and mother-in-law Jeanette Palmer. He was preceded in death by his brother Timothy Gaspard.
Family was everything to Danny and his life revolved around them. An avid sportsman and outdoorsman, Danny loved nothing better than being out in the field hunting deer, turkeys, and feral hogs. Even during his time of illness, Danny looked forward to being able to be back outdoors doing what he loved. Sadly, this was not to be. In his illness, Danny drew even closer to his family and to his God. The burden of illness was a cross for Danny to bear and he drew comfort from the Rosary, weekly communion, and devotion to Blessed Father Seelos. Danny bore many sufferings and tribulations during his life and now he has passed to where there is no pain or sorrow, but only the joy of being in the presence of the Lord.
A private service has been held. In lieu of flowers, please have a mass said or donate to the American Heart Association in Danny’s name.
