Cindy is survived by her loving husband, Gerard “Jay” Hebert, Jr. She was the proud mother of Lance Hebert and Linsey Hebert Michael (Alec). She was the daughter-in-law of Catherine Vicari Hebert. Sister of Gayle Favaza (Norman), Barbara Aiola (Russell), and Michael Gisevius (Penny), and sister-in-law of Jodie Woodruff (Jack) and Jeffrey Hebert (Catherine). Cindy is also survived by many nieces and nephews who lovingly referred to her as Kiki.
Cindy is preceded in death by her parents, Gerald Gisevius and Hilda Favaloro Gisevius, and her father-in-law Gerard Hebert, Sr.
Cindy was born in New Orleans to Gerald and Hilda Gisevius on September 1, 1961. She was a 1980 graduate of Abramson High School in New Orleans. She married Jay on October 27, 1990, in New Orleans. She proudly managed Bayou Snoballs in Slidell, Louisiana for many years. As a 10-year member of the local Krewe of Goddesses, Cindy was voted Queen of the Goddesses for the 2022 Mardi Gras season. Those who knew Cindy knew she was always the life of the party with her sidekick, the late Vivian Caruso Senez. Cindy’s contagious smile and loving and caring personality will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a gathering on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. VIRTUE STREET, in Chalmette, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. A memorial service will be held in Cindy’s memory at 1:00 PM.
