It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anthony “Tony” Joseph Moley III, a beloved companion, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, who departed this life on November 21, 2024. He was 87 years old. Born on December 14, 1936, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Tony is survived by his companion, Toni DiBartolo; his children, Tony Moley IV (Misty) and Ronnie Moley (Samantha); his grandchildren, Alisha, Shellbie, Tony Moley V, Dante and Sabrina; his 8 great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony J. Moley Jr., and Angelina Lombardo Moley; his sister, Marie Ann Moley.
Tony lived a full and vibrant life, filled with love, adventure, and dedication to those he cherished. He graduated from F.T. Nichols High School in 1955, a testament to his early commitment to hard work and achievement. He spent many years of his career at Amstar Sugar Refinery Domino, where he worked from 1964 until his retirement in 1979. Later, he continued his career at Textron Marine, where he was employed from 1989 to 1999. He was known for his strong work ethic and the pride he took in his work. Throughout his life, he was devoted to his family, including his loving companion of 35 years, Toni DiBartolo. Together, they built a life full of laughter, memories, and deep affection. He was a proud father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and his family was the heart of everything he did. In his free time, Tony found peace and joy in the outdoors, especially when he was hunting and fishing. His treasured hunting camp in Mississippi was a favorite gathering place, where he enjoyed the company of family and friends. He also spent countless hours at his fishing camp in Hopedale, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Monday, December 2nd from 11:00AM – 1:00PM, followed by a burial in ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL GARDENS.
