Amanda Michelle LaRocca

Amanda Michelle LaRocca passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at the age of 35. She was the loving mother of Mya Angelina LaRocca. Daughter of Debra Sansone LaRocca and Joseph LaRocca Sr. Sister of Ashlie LaRocca Henderson (Zach) and Joseph LaRocca Jr. (Kelli). Granddaughter of Colene Olsen and the late Julie LaRocca and Frank LaRocca. She is also survived and fondly remembered by her nanny Shelly, Buddy Darren, along with many relatives, cousins and dear friends.

Amanda, a beloved daughter, mother, sister and friend, was born in New Orleans, LA, and spent much of her life as a resident of St. Bernard Parish. Known for her compassion and deep love for those around her, Amanda touched the lives of many with her kindness, generosity and warm heart.

She had a profound appreciation for art and expressed her creativity through drawing. A true sun-worshipper, she found joy and peace in the warmth of the sun. Music also played a meaningful role in her life, and she was happiest when surrounded by her family and friends, sharing their stories, laughing and love.

Above all, Amanda's greatest joy and proudest role in life was being a mother to her beloved daughter, Mya. She will be remembered for her good nature, generous heart and the light she brought into the lives of all who knew her.

Rest in peace, our dear Amanda. You left us far too soon. The love you shared will remain with us always. We carry your memory in our hearts knowing we will see you again someday.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, April 25th from 12:00PM – 2:00PM, followed by a memorial service in Amanda’s memory beginning at 2:00PM. She will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at a later date.
