Albert Joseph Kramer passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024 due to small- cell lung cancer at the age of 74. He was born on June 2, 1949 in New Orleans, LA. He was a former resident of St. Bernard Parish and currently resided in Covington, LA. Albert “Al” was the loving husband of Susan Serpas Kramer for 52 wonderful years. He was the proud father of twin sons, Dale A. Kramer and Darrell J. Kramer; his grandson Kameron J. Kramer. Albert was the caring brother to Bruce P. Kramer (Betty) and David P. Kramer (Donna); godfather to Roxanne Gebbia and Brian Kramer; brother-in-law to Steve Serpas (Leslie) and Stew Serpas (Beth). He is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great- nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Estelle Gebbia Kramer and Albert Earl Kramer.
Al was a 1967 graduate of Chalmette High School. He then served proudly in the U.S Army, 1st Infantry Division, while in Vietnam he received many accolades for his expert marksmanship. Al retired from NOPSI\ RTA after 32 years as Senior Electrician at Carrollton Shop. He was an avid fisherman who loved tinkering in his garage, repairing things was his specialty. He will forever be remembered and deeply missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 11:00 AM-1:00PM. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL GARDENS.
