Robert "Bob" Boyd, age 72 passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2024. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Lena T. Boyd; sisters, Jessie Dean Lambert, and Barbara Boyd; brother, Frank Boyd. He is survived by his twin sister, Beth Boyd of Centreville,sister, Annette Tucker of Montevallo; his brothers, Jamie Boyd, Willie Boyd of Centreville, and George Boyd of Tuscaloosa; special friends, Mr Eddie, Pokey, and Freddie.
Bob was known for his very giving big heart, his ability to be very sociable, pleasure of thrifting, as well as his joy of gospel music and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
A visitation for Bob will be held Monday, May 13, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Rockco Funeral Home, with service being at 11:00 am, following with a burial at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Rev. Dale Watts will officiate.
Serving as pallbearers are Brian Boyd, Kevin Boyd, Josh Tucker, Michael Carlee, Chris White, Frankie Fancher, Jamie Boyd, Willie Boyd, George Boyd and John Bolling.
