Patricia Slaton McElroy

Patricia "Patsy" Slaton McElroy, age 87 passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. Patsy is preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years William "Jake" McElroy; her parents Glenford Odette and Annie Lou Slaton; brother, Johnnie Wayne Slaton; sister in law, Billie Jean Slaton; brother in law, Robert Jones; grandchild, Jacob Lamarque; She is survived by her children, Tracy McElroy (Becky), Justine Lamarque (Jeff), and Deanna Brock (Beau); siblings, Shirley Slaton Jones, Linda Slaton Smith (Barry), Donna Slaton Parker (Jim); grandchildren Katie Champagne (Cody), Valerie Steadman (Eric), Hannah McDermott (James); great grandchildren, Callum Champagne, Audrey and Cecilia Steadman

Patsy worked at City of Slidell in the water department for many years. After retiring from her long career at the City of Slidell, Patsy found solace and joy in the art of quilting and baking. She poured her creativity and passion into crafting beautiful and intricate quilts, each one a testament to her talent and dedication. Patsy's quilts brought warmth and comfort to those who were lucky enough to receive them, and her skillful stitching will always be remembered as a reflection of her kind and nurturing spirit. Patsy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A visitation for Patricia will be held Friday, May 17, 2024 at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Woodstock, 2473 Coldwater Rd., Woodstock, Alabama 35188. A funeral service will occur Friday, May 17, 2024 at 11:00 AM. A burial will occur Friday, May 17, 2024 at Greenpond Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Eastern Valley Rd, Greenpond, Alabama 35184.
