Sharon was born on December 9, 1940 to the proud parents Daniel B. Edwards and Dorothy V. Edwards in Fairfield California. Sharon was a 1958 graduate of Vallejo high school. Her first marriage gave her three beautiful girls, later she met and married the love of her life Paul Kitchen,they were married on March 10, 1967. Paul came with three amazing children of his own and together they created two more, quickly becoming the blended, bonded and beautiful family of 10. Always quick to win an achievement award for the most children. They moved to Washington state in 1971 and after raising all her children from home, Sharon found her life career with Washington state where she received achievement awards for her hard work and dedication until her retirement in 2006. Sharon renewed her Vows with Paul on their 25th wedding anniversary.
Sharon is survived by her children: Donna Mclean, Michelle Mallin, Rex Kitchen, Terri Munsey, Corinne Smith, Kristine Rice, Daniel Kitchen, and Nancy Carr.
She is also Survived by her grandchildren: Elizabeth, Angela, Autumn (Teresa),
Kathryn, Julie, Shawna, Laura, Jennifer, Joseph, Janice, Amber, Jeremy, Nicole, Brakken, Jarrod, Ryan, Lyndsay, Harmonie, Ausha, Amanda, William, Gabrielle, Morgan, Joseph, Kathryn, Jessica, Justin, Elizabeth, Paula, and Jacob. She was also survived by many many great grandchildren with more to come.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Paul Kitchen, parents Daniel Edwards and Dorothy Edwards, her siblings Jean and Joan, her grandson Johnathan and several great grandbabies.
She enjoyed and worked tirelessly on building scrapbooks for every child to cherish. Her heart was huge and embraced all who came her way as family, calling them a “blessing”. Loving her life and role as matriarch over so many, she dedicated her life to being a role model for all around her. Her love extended to all creatures great and small including her beautiful dogs Angel and Bella. She took comfort in her church and loved the Lord. A smile on her face was easy to come by, along with a generous heart in which she gave faithfully to Saint Judes to help those children are less fortunate than her own. She will be peacefully laid to rest at Grand Mound Cemetery on November 6th 2020.
