Duane Larry Stump

Duane passed away at home in Randle, Washington on January 24, 2024, at the age of 67 years. He was born on January 25th, 1956 to Darold V. and Donna M. (Bolton) Stump in Quesnel, British Columbia, Canada. He grew up with four siblings – Darlene Coonrod, Deena Jones, Deanna Wiederhold, and Dwight Stump. When Duane was a boy, the family moved to Randle, Washington and, in 1976, he graduated from White Pass High School.

At a young age, Duane found that he loved being outdoors, and being in nature. One way he found to be outside was become a logger. He was happiest when he was fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed music and learned to play the guitar.

Duane was preceded in death by his parents Darold and Donna Stump; maternal grandparents Clark and Gladys (Clevenger) Bolton; paternal grandparents Volney and Ethyl (Lester) Stump; and his nephew Chad Stump.

He is survived by his sons Dustin Stump and Colby Stump; his daughter Sheena Stump; his brother Dwight Stump; sisters Darlene Coonrod, Deena Jones, and Deanna Wiederhold; 4 nieces and 6 nephews.

The family would like to thank his long-time friend, Cheryl Vasey, for all she has done for Duane, for being there for whenever he needed.

There will be a graveside service for Duane on Saturday, May 18th, 2024, at 1pm at Silver Creek Cemetery in Randle, Washington.
