Born April 3, 1942, in Kirkland Washington. She was the daughter of the late Hugh Kintzley and Julia Kintzley.
Cathy is survived by her son Jason T. Houle (Magan), and her granddaughter Julia Houle of Olympia, WA. In addition, she is survived by her brother William (Bill) Kintzley of Rochester, WA, and her sister Louise Kramer (Ken) of Vancouver, WA.
Cathy spent most of her life in Western Washington. She loved the outdoors and all its wonders. Cathy loved people, animals, and plants. She regularly donated to different Indigenous people’s organizations and the humane society. Cathy had a special place in her heart though for horses and frogs. One of the highlights of her life that she often talked about was working at the Seattle World’s Fair in 1962. Cathy always loved a good adventure. Sometimes it was a spontaneous road trip in a random direction with the family to see where they would end up. Sometimes it was hooking up the camper last minute on a Friday night, hoping to find a spot at her favorite campground at the North Fork of the Cispus River. She spent her later years enjoying time with her son Jason and his family, bingo on Friday nights with her friends, and breakfast at Denny’s on the weekend.
A funeral mass for Cathy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on September 8, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 157 SW 6th St, Chehalis, WA 98532. Mass will be followed by a graveside service at 12:30 p.m. at Claquato Cemetery, 142 Stearns Rd, Chehalis, WA 98532.
