Merle Jean Davis

She was preceded in death by her parents, Merlin Eugene and Sarah Currier Miller; brother, Ashby John Miller; daughter, Tricia Davis Voth; granddaughter, Angel Anne Davis; and partner, Earnest Woods.

She is survived by her son, Michael J. Davis (Resa); daughter, Donielle D. Brown; brothers, Neal Paul Miller (Karen) and Robert J. Miller; grandchildren, William, Shelby Cox (Trent), Sarah, John Davis (Megan), Brock, Brittany, Mary, Kristian, Thor, Alexandria; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Lexie, Trition, Aycen, Emerald, Azriella, Auruila, Raelynn, Azaya; nieces and nephews, Christy Drickamer (Mike), Shawn Miller, Billy Miller (Mary Beth), James Miller (Blair); great-nieces and nephews, Nathan, Emmalee, Adrienne, and Hannah.

Merle graduated from Baker High and went on to graduate from Delta College with a Business Degree. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church in Zachary, and later became a member of St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church of Central. She was a loving Daughter, Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Aunt, Great-grandmother, and friend.

The family is having a private memorial service on Monday, January 3, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St Augustine’s Episcopal Church, 12954 Joor Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70818.
