Sally Crook Bibbiani passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2016 to join her beloved husband Gino on what would have been his 99th birthday. She was fortunate enough to have traveled the world with him during their almost 65 years of marriage. Sally enjoyed gardening, was a great cook, interior decorator, and a beautiful woman. Born on November 17, 1923, Sally was predeceased by her parents, Dr. J. Bruce and Henrietta (More) Crook, her son, Bill and her sisters, Dazie Markman and Lyle Watrous. Sally worked in sales at the former Sage Allen in Old Saybrook which sparked her interest in design. She ran a very successful business for many years, Interiors of Essex with her business partner Judy Rice. Following her retirement she kept busy volunteering for the Daughter of the American Revolution, The Kate, and many activities at the First Congregational Church of Deep River. As a member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary, she proudly marched each year in the Chester Memorial Day parade. Sally is survived by her daughter, Susan E. Hoag and John, of Ipswich, MA, her son, Stephen C. Bibbiani and his wife Lisa, of Deep River, and her grandchildren, Andrew, William, Emily, Taylor, and Hayley. She also leaves her four great-grandchildren, her brother-in - law, Dual Bibbiani and Linda of Chester, and numerous nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 11:00AM at the First Congregational Church of Deep River, 1 Church Street in Deep River followed by her burial in the Fountain Hill Cemetery, High Street in Deep River.
