Valdean was born on September 9, 1937, in Edgar, Nebraska to Oscar and Eva Mileger. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Don Mileger, sister's Betty Garrison, Verlyn Mileger, Lurlene Turpin, and Evelyn Hoffmaster.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Nancy Mileger; four children Jeff Mileger, Bryan Mileger, Jane Crane and Chris Mileger; daughters-in-law, Cari Mileger, Shannon Mileger, Michelle Mileger and son-in-law Nick Crane; twelve grandchildren Jennifer MacDonald, Ashley Eckel, Jordan Worrell, Kayley Koenig, Tyler Mileger, Alden Mileger, Zane Mileger, Skye Mileger, Ellery Mileger, Avery Mileger, Jake Worrell, and Cade Mileger; eight great grandchildren Jaelen Ards, Avery Worrell, Brooklyn Koenig, Crew Koenig, Stella Eckel, Harper Mileger, Jet Eckel, and West Eckel.
Val graduated from Edgar High School in 1954. He then served in the Air Force for four years form 1954-1959, at Lincoln Air Force Bay, in Lincoln, Nebraska. He served as an Air Traffic Controller, receiving decorations and medals. Val moved his family to Davenport, Nebraska in 1959, supporting his family working two different jobs in the plumbing and hardware industry. He then moved his family to Aurora, Colorado, in 1964, continuing in his efforts and honing his skills in the pluming trade. After moving in Colorado and becoming a baptized believer in 1967, Val began his sales career with Data Documents.
Val had a strong love for the Lord and served faithfully in the roles of a deacon and elder at Hoffman Heights and East Alameda Church of Christ for 45 years. He will be forever in our hearts and has left a legacy of faith and hard work with his family.

A memorial service for Valdean will be held Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at East Alameda Church of Christ, 13605 E Alameda Ave, Aurora, CO 80012.
