Sue was born in Pampa, Texas on July 5th, 1935 and remained a proud Texan all her life. At age 12, she moved to Colorado with her family. She attended Cherry Hills Elementary, South High School, Colorado College and earned a degree in Elementary Education from The University of Northern Colorado. Sue loved the outdoors with hiking, gardening, golfing and biking. A great cook who loved to entertain at her home, she also baked often and families in South Denver will remember her famous wine cake that she brought to many occasions. She loved to travel and shared many adventures in the U.S. and abroad with family and close friends. Sue is remembered fondly for her love for her grandchildren, sunflowers and music and celebrating the holidays. Sue valued her faith, her family, hard work and creativity; she was reliable, dependable and honest. Her sense of humor remained with her throughout her 82+ years and continued to be a valuable connecting point with those she loved. Mama Sue, as she is affectionately known to many, is fondly remembered and will be dearly missed by all who had the good fortune to know her and share in her life.
