Ross Montgomery Hart was born at Swedish Memorial Hospital, Englewood, Colorado, on December 12, 1989, to John W. and Cathy L. Hart. He has an older sister and brother, Erica (24) and Ethan (22). Ross grew up in The Preserve in Greenwood Village and attended Greenwood Elementary, West Middle School, and was a graduate of Cherry Creek High School in 2008. He recently attended Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, CO, where he majored in Business Administration.
While growing up in Greenwood Village, he had varied interests including sports and the chess club at Greenwood Elementary where he played in the state tournament finishing as runner-up. Ross also attended the state finals for DECA while at CCHS. Sports included youth soccer, Arapahoe Baseball, Gold Crown Basketball, Bruins Football, and Indians Lacrosse. He played on the Colorado Select lacrosse team, then played on CCHS JV and Varsity lacrosse teams through high school. He played football at CCHS into his junior year, receiving the Special Teams MVP Award in the Varsity game against Boulder High.
The Ross Hart Memorial Fund has been established by Cherry Creek High School Boys Lacrosse Booster Club.

Ross worked for the City of Greenwood Village recreational summer program, and several years at the Original Pancake House. He later worked at the Spicy Pickle and CooperSmith’s Pub and Brewing in Fort Collins.
