Retiring in her early 60s, she rescued three horses, Billie, Emmy, and Tarzan, fulfilling a lifelong equestrian passion to care for them with her best friend, Cindy Triplett.
Chris persevered through many trials and tribulations throughout her life; she had an uncanny disposition of kindness, compassion, and lightheartedness in every moment. She was an artist and lifelong animal lover, a beloved mother, and an exceptional friend to everyone who knew her. She had been an avid Star Trek fan her whole life. She looked up to Captain Jean Luke Picard and identified the most with Captain Janeway as SciFi was her favorite film genre, and she was a lover of music.
She always took every opportunity to be a part of her children’s and grandchildren’s lives. She was Intelligent and caring, accepted everyone for who they were, and finally found peace with God. She will be missed. Ad astra per aspera (with hardship, to the stars), may she rest in peace.
Her family and friends are deeply saddened, and if you want to contribute to the well-being of the horses she has left behind, it will mean a lot, as they are the most innocent and selfless beings in this tragic situation. Please find the link to her Go-Fund-Me below.
