Michael “Mickey” Dennis Naughton Jr. unexpectedly passed away peacefully in his home on December 30, 2021, at the age of 37. He was born on March 29, 1984, in Denver, CO to Michael and Cynthia Naughton. Mickey was survived by his parents, siblings and their spouses Katie Naughton (Eric Levitt), Matthew Naughton (Lindsay Naughton), Kelly Zimmerman (Tyler Zimmerman), and Cody Naughton, along with his nieces and nephews Avery, Jayden, Piper, Clover, Honor, Wesson, and Nolan.
Mickey attended All Souls Catholic School and graduated high school from Mullen in 2002. From there, he attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins graduating with a degree in Business Administration in 2009. During college is when he really proceeded to make long-lasting friendships impacting all of us and making his mark on the world. Mickey and his “buddies” had, and continue to have, a fraternal bond that can only be found amongst true brothers.
Growing up he was fascinated with playing hockey and his on-ice capabilities were hard to match. Mickey played for the Denver Country Club (DCC) hockey team as a right wing where they won the championship game. When he wasn’t on the ice, you could always find Mickey on the golf course perfecting his game. He was an avid golfer who devotedly studied the game reflected by his single-digit handicap. Not only was he a student of the game, he absolutely loved to play.
Mike Naughton Ford quickly became the next step for Mickey where he began to build his career in the automotive business. He had a passion for the Ford dealership and an eagerness to follow in his grandfather and father’s footsteps living up to his namesake. Staff, customers, and business partners valued Mickey’s business aptitude at the dealership and his infectious personality was well-liked by all. Mickey continually committed himself to improving the company operations, dedicating his energy to maintaining the family business and prolonging the Naughton name in Colorado.
We will dearly miss him as he was a pillar amongst us all with his devotion, humor and zest for life!
Love, Love
