Margaret Faye Haddon was born on June 15, 1924 to Lester and Dora House. She went to Heaven on October 29, 2013. Margaret was raised in Denver, where she attended North High School. She moved to Seattle, WA in 1942 where she married Harold Haddon, and they welcomed their first daughter at the end of WWII. Following the war, they returned to Denver where two more daughters were born. Margaret and Harold were always very involved in their church. They loved to visit shut-ins and folks who needed extra encouragement.
The Haddon’s moved to the Detroit, Michigan area where they continued to be heavily involved in their church ministries. Margaret was especially gifted in hospitality. They were outstanding youth sponsors and thoroughly enjoyed working with young people for many years. Their fourth child, a son, was born there.
Margaret and Harold returned to the Denver area in 1971 for Harold’s work and to be closer to their families. Since retiring, they continued a life of service and certainly lived out their faith in amazing ways.
Margaret was a wonderful mother who spent her life instilling her faith in the children she so dearly loved. She trusted God’s plan for her life and the lives of those closest to her and encouraged her children to serve others and to love the Lord. Even in the last days of her life, Margaret provided a powerful testimony to those around her as she recalled her many blessings and looked forward to going home to heaven.
Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Dora House; her husband, Harold; her daughter, Cynthia Van Gelder; and grandson, Arman Eicher. She leaves behind a large family who will miss her greatly while they wait to meet her again in Heaven: sister, Virginia (Dwight) Fisher; daughter Sharon (Dennis) Eicher, their children Kim Williams, Scott (Amy) Eicher, Kristine (Sam) Johnson, LaiLai, Rennie, Joe, Mark and Peter Eicher, and their grandchildren Colton, Zach, Zoe, Hallie and Thomas; daughter Linda Haddon; granddaughter Jennifer Hane; son David (Donna) Haddon, their children Donella Ozbun, Doc (Sherri) Holliday, their grandchildren David, Josie, Wyatt, and Marshall, and Margaret’s great-great granddaughter Lilee.
