In her early life, she met her love and husband, Harry Hawkins, in England during the World War II. She then made the trip to America with him, and with the courage it took to move her life to a new country, is the same courage she showed throughout her life. She was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where she spent many days of her life caring for others and was very much loved by friends and family. Her favorite way to spend her hours was tending to her lovely gardens. June tended to her life with the same care and diligence and life and love blossomed around her, bringing forth many good fruits. Jesus said unto her, “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live” -John 11:25. And as her husband Harry, son Paul and daughter Patricia were waiting for her, June now waits for us. Until we all meet again, we will carry fond memories of her. June is survived by her three grandchildren: Shawn and Jared Jewett, and Jeffrey Merrill.
A funeral service will be held in June's honor on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 10:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 999 E Tufts Ave, Englewood, CO 80113. Viewing will occur the half hour prior. June will be laid to rest at 11:30 am at Olinger Chapel Hill Cemetery, 6601 S Colorado Blvd, Centennial, CO 80121, the same day.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.olingerchapelhill.com for the Hawkins family.
