Florence Ann (Little) Wobschall was born on May 24, 1933, near Northfield, Minnesota. She grew up on a local farm, where her formative years were influenced by her large family, the self-reliance of farm life, and her Christian upbringing. This environment gave her a spirit of cooperation and sharing.
After high school, she graduated from the University of Minnesota Nursing Program and became a Licensed Practical Nurse through state board examinations in several states. In 1956, Florence and Neil were married in a beautiful ceremony in her country church. She then worked as a nurse at several hospitals before starting a family. After her children were grown, she was a nurse at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Littleton, CO, for special needs adults for many years, receiving numerous recognitions for her dedicated service.
Florence also gave to the communities where she lived by serving and contributing to several humanitarian organizations. She was a Sunday School teacher and active in several church groups. She participated in her sons’ numerous pursuits by assisting in adult leadership roles in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Little League, and school activities.
She also enjoyed bowling and golfing on women’s leagues.
Florence is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Neil, sons Steven (Tamara) of Broomfield, CO, Craig (Michelle) of Franktown, CO, grandchildren, Kayla, Kyle, Brandon, and Trent Wobschall, and Kris Franklin; siblings Douglas Little of Dundas, MN, and Doris Bickel of Northfield, MN, sisters-in-Law Carol Little of Northfield, MN, and Shirley Little of Faribault, MN; and a multitude of other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Alice Little, siblings Helen, Lloyde, Hazelle, Robert, Harold, Stanley, Elizabeth, Wayne, and Donald.
Known for her compassion for others and sense of humor, Florence will be remembered most for her love of family that brought her so much joy.
