After meeting and falling in love with Paul White, they were married shortly after on December 20th, 1947. And then moved to Lincoln, Nebraska for a short time. They then decided to relocate to Aurora Colorado and lived in a few homes in the Hoffman Heights area before settling down in their home down in Hunters Hill.
Florence enjoyed traveling as well and traveled all over the United States with her husband, Paul in their motorhome. She also took the opportunity to travel to Alaska and to England as well.
Florence was an extremely outgoing and friendly person. She had a very contagious smile, laugh and personality. She was highly involved with her children in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Brownies, Girl Scouts as well as their other activities including sporting events and theater. She was also involved with a bowling league for many years.
She enjoyed children and animals so very much. She always brought in extra kids to help parents who were working. At that time, it was considered babysitting rather than daycare and she embraced it fully. She also always had at least 2 dogs who simply adored her.
Florence was truly someone who was well respected and established in her life. After losing her husband in 1992, she became involved in other groups which included Silverado where she did a great deal of traveling.
Florence touched so many lives and lived a life that she shared with so many others. The lives she touched were usually strongly impacted with her soul and spirit.
