She was a graduate of Snyder High School in Snyder, Colorado. After graduating from high school, Florence moved to Brush, Colorado where she met and later married Bob Lucerne. She worked for over 50 years before retiring in 1994.
Florence was an avid traveler, gifted artist, and collector of elephants.
She is survived by her son Robert Lucerne of Arizona, daughters Pamela Lucerne of Colorado, and Jessica Lucerne of Minnesota, one grandson Michael Lucerne of Colorado, a great-granddaughter Storrie, and a great-great grandson Gabriel. She is also survived by her sister Pauline Gore of Texas, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Jessie Cook, her husband Bob, and her siblings Kathleen, Gordon, and Dorothy.
Funeral services (both in-person and streaming), will take place at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary located at 6601 S. Colorado Blvd / Centennial CO 80121. Exact date and time still to be announced.
