Earla was born on March 21, 1931, to Helmuth and Elfrieda Rumme in Fort Dodge, Iowa, where she spent her childhood. After high school, she moved to Denver, Colorado, where she met her husband Vaughn Reneau. She lovingly raised three children.
She had an incredible talent and love for quilting and sewing. The love was evident in her beautiful creations. Her quilts are very special heirlooms that will be loved and cherished by family for many years to come. She also enjoyed spending time outside working in her flower gardens.
Earla had a special place in her heart for cats. She always had one or two around to keep her company.
Throughout her life, she was very involved in the Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday school and served in different organizations within the church. One of her favorite activities later in life was traveling around the country with a group of friends that she met through church.
She is survived by her brother Dennis Rumme; her children, Pamela Robbins and Mark Reneau; her grandchildren, Michael Robbins, Nicole Robbins, and Nicholas Riley, and great-grandchildren Julian and Henry Robbins. She was preceded in death by her brothers Delbert Rumme and Donald Rumme, her husband Vaughn Reneau, and daughters Mildred Reneau and Jennifer Reneau.
