Connie was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts to his parents John and Rita Carmody. He attended the University of Massachusetts and earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He joined the Air Force and served for over thirty years, achieving the rank of colonel. While serving, he earned an MBA and attended numerous advanced military courses.
Connie was blessed with a large and loving family. He married Marilyn (Little) on August 20th, 1971. Together they enjoyed traveling, golfing, and skiing. He was devoted to his three children and five grandchildren; nothing made him happier than having the whole family together. As a career United States Air Force officer, Connie was known to be patient and kind, and was well respected by all.
Connie is survived by his wife Marilyn; his son James Carmody; his daughters Laura Carmody and Jeanne Bratlien; his grandsons Clayton and Colin Carmody; his granddaughters Natalie Carmody, Julianne Bratlien and Charlotte Bratlien; his brother Thomas Carmody; his sisters Mary Milek, Barbara Lahaie, Margaret Johnston, and Ellen Roster.
A visitation to celebrate Connie, will be held Thursday Jan. 14th from 4-8pm at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6601 S. Colorado Blvd, Centennial, CO 80121. The funeral mass will be held Friday Jan. 15th at 2pm at St. Thomas More, 8035 S. Quebec Street, Centennial, CO 80112. The military service will be held Monday Jan. 18th at 11am at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Ave, Denver, CO.
