Angie was born in Marianna, Florida on October 19, 1944 to Cathleen V. Sanders and Herman X. Jones. At age 18, her mother remarried to Edward F. Oldenski who adopted Angie and he was her father until he passed.
She was loving mother to John C. Veigel and Josh A. Veigel, mother-in-law to Shannon M. Veigel and grandmother to Olivia M. Veigel.
She grew up in Dayton, Ohio and moved to Denver in the early 70’s where she met her loving husband, Jeff E. Veigel, and they started a life in Littleton, Colorado where, together, they raised their family and enjoyed the company of their life-long friends.
Angie built a career from her talents as an Administrative Assistant and retired in 2013 from King Soopers.
She loved a good glass of wine and conversation while taking in the breeze and the views from her patio. She also enjoyed being in her garden. She loved fresh flowers, especially roses and azaleas.
Angie also loved a good auction and enjoyed the thrill of the bid, attending many auctions and beginning a business with her eldest son, John selling the treasures they found.
With her son Josh and her daughter-in-law, Shannon, she enjoyed visiting the town of Breckenridge, where they would often go to escape and be together with Olivia. Angie loved to hop in the car and take a drive on the backroad, always filling the time with conversations.
The second love of Angie’s life, her grand-daughter Olivia who she called her "Lula Bear" or "Lu" arrived in 2012. They loved a good old fashioned sleepover and Hawaiian blizzards from DQ. They spent the summers splashing and swimming together at all the pools and splash pads.
Some of the hobbies she enjoyed included a night out at the casinos winning on the slot machines, designing holiday themed manicures and pedicures for each holiday, acquiring and collecting beautiful and unique jewelry pieces, bunco night and supporting her friends and family in their in-home businesses.
She loved candlelight services on Christmas and Easter.
Angie was a fan of shows like Outlander and Yellowstone and loved movies like Westside Story. She loved the classics and shared them often with her grand-daughter and her friends often via Facebook.
She adored her dog, Buddy and her grand-dog, Slugger. The family dog, Snowy, will join her at Mt. Lindo in her final resting place with Jeff.
Angie was a proud patriot and mother to a son in uniform. As a child, Angie lived on her grandparent’s farm. As she got older, Angie lived on Wright-Patterson AFB, with her mother and step-father in Dayton, Ohio until she graduated High School. She loved air shows and the Blue Angels.
Angela is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jeffrey E. Veigel; her mother, Cathleen V. Oldenski; her step-father, Edward F. Oldenski and her brother, Edward F. Oldenski Jr.
She is survived by her sons; John C. Veigel and Josh A. Veigel; her daughter-in-law, Shannon M. Veigel; her granddaughter, Olivia M. Veigel and her sisters; Millie Hill, Dena Oldenski and Fran Grimes along with many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at St. Philip Lutheran Church on Friday August 20th, 2021. Services will begin at 1 o’clock in the afternoon. The family would like to invite you to join them for a reception to follow the services. The reception will be from 3:00PM - 7:00PM at The Farmhouse at Raccoon Creek Golf Course (7301 W Bowles Avenue, Littleton, CO 80123) Appetizers and drinks will be made available.
