Betty Jane Sprinkel

Betty Jane Sprinkel (Combs), of Woodlawn, Maryland, wife of the late Russell (Buck) S. Sprinkel, Sr. went home to her Lord on February 27, 2019. She was 95. Betty was born to Frank and Pearl Combs in Cumberland, Maryland on November 28, 1923. Betty lived in Walkersville, Maryland at the Genesis Glade Valley Nursing Home, where she has lived for the past 7 years, brightening the lives of everyone around her.

Betty married Russell S. Sprinkel, Sr. (“Buck”) in 1945. They had 6 children. Betty is preceded in death by the love of her life, Buck Sprinkel, and her granddaughter Lindsey Crispino. She is survived by her 6 children, Barbara E. Mills (Butch); Russell S. Sprinkel, Jr. (Frankie); Robert P. Sprinkel (Barbara); Evelyn Kay Knight (Pete); Kim Crispino (Nick); Gail Witten (Dave), and her grandchildren, Jane McJilton, Harold Mills, III, Russell Mills, Amanda Mansfield, Stephen Sprinkel, John Stallings, Jr., Michelle Stallings, Rachel Misner, Renee’ Fraley, Jennifer Grimes, Nick Crispino, Jr., Amber Finneyfrock, and Kristy Kaemmerlen, all who adored her. Betty had 14 great grandchildren Donielle McJilton, Ashley Mills, Morgan McJilton, Maya Stallings, John Stallings, III, Robert Stottlemyer, Madison Fraley, Kelsey Misner, Alexis Misner, Niko Crispino, Robert Burke, Holden Crispino, Kaelyn Finneyfrock, and Jack Kaemmerlen.

Family will receive friends on Monday, March 11, 2019, from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the STERLING-ASHTON-SCHWAB-WITZKE FUNERAL HOME OF CATONSVILLE, 1630 Edmonson Avenue, Catonsville, MD 21228, where Funeral Services will follow at 12:00pm. Interment Garrison Forrest Veterans Cemetery, 11501 Garrison Forest Rd, Owings Mills, MD 21117.
