Roger passed away on September 29th in Castle Rock Colorado at the age of 80 surrounded by his loving family. A man of few words but a heart full of love for those around him, Roger cherished his family and friends deeply.
He was born October 1, 1943 in Denver, Colorado to Edgar and Lola Templeton. He grew up in Denver and attended Denver West High School. After school he served in the US Army and was stationed in Germany and discharged just before Vietnam.
When he returned to Colorado he married Judith Ann and they started their family in Colorado. Roger was a jack of all trades but spent the majority of his career life flipping houses and dabbling in general contractor work. He enjoyed bingo, going to the movies, traveling and ice cream. The beach was his favorite place to be. When he briefly lived in Honduras he built his own resort. While residing at Brookside Inn he regularly attended Sunday services.
He is survived by his daughters Anne (Tim) and Nancy (Rich); his grandchildren Dennis (Trish), Dmitri (Lyndsay), Reid, Alona, Richard (Sophi) and Dakota; and his great-grandchildren Duke, Theo, Lukas, Grayson, Devyn and Oliver. He will also be missed by his brother's Don, Mike and a host of nephews and nieces.
There will be a private funeral service followed by a public celebration of life for Roger. His celebration will be a come and go event to share stories and fellowship. The celebration will be beach themed, reflecting his lifelong dream and accomplishment of living on a beach in Honduras. Casual attire and Hawaiian shirts are encouraged in his honor.
Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 12, 2024 at The Ridge House, 4501 Enderud Blvd, Castle Rock CO 80104 from 2:30pm to 5:30pm.
