Entered into Life 02/16/1971 Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan Canada
Entered into Rest 08/07/2022 Sturgis, South Dakota United States of America
In a tragic accident after leaving the Annual Harley Davidson Rally in Sturgis, South Dakota; Mike, an avid and cautious rider, lost his life.
Mike loved to ride, especially when he and his best friend, Scott Zaeske could get out on the road. Mike passed at the accident site, and we take solace in knowing that his passing was swift while doing what he loved.
Mike is survived by his wife of 22 years, Anna Cochran of Castle Rock, Colorado, Parents Hedda and Dennis Cochran along with brother Dietmar Cochran of Abbotsford, BC Canada, nephews, Jacob, and Jessy Cochran of BC Canada along with nieces, Alison Acosta and Anaiz Contreras of California.
Mikes early years were spent in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada. They relocated to Courtenay, British Columbia where Mike had his Wonder Years and a ton of friends and great adventures. After living on the island, they moved to Coquitlam, where he graduated from Centennial Secondary.
While he started his life as a Canadian Citizen, Mike became a citizen of the United States in 2020 and was extremely proud of his dual citizenship.
Mike loved hanging out with his friends and playing music. Mike excelled at playing the drums in a jam band in BC. He went on to play in The Jimmy Ash Band, gigs included The Roxy and the Whiskey in Hollywood, California. Piston Broke rounds out the band line up and was his absolute favorite. Mike was even featured on Judge Judy due to a band dispute where he won!
He enjoyed a long career in the telecommunications industry where he worked for Charter Communications for over 20 years. This was the reason he and Anna relocated to Colorado.
Living in Colorado was an absolute adventure! Jeep’n though all the great trails, riding his Road King through the open highways and meeting great friends that immediately became family.
You have made an indelible impression on this world, Mike.
The love we shared has forever changed my world. We may not be of the same universe for the time being but please know, I will say your name every day and continue to carry the strength you helped me obtain. I am a better person for knowing & loving you.
It has been my honor to be your wife and I will cherish every second that we spent together.
Rest in peace, Dorky.
