Kathy Hoffman, a woman of strength and love, was born in Wayne Nebraska on November 9, 1946, and peacefully passed away on January 7, 2024 in Kiowa, Colorado. Her life was a tapestry of love, family, and adventures.
Kathy's early years were shaped in Sheridan, Colorado where she not only lived but also attended school, becoming a graduate in the Class of 1965 . Her parents, Bob and Rachel Webb, played significant roles in the Sheridan school district, instilling values of community and education. Kathy was a loving sister to two younger brothers Tom Webb and Red Webb.
Kathy's love story began when she encountered her future husband, Dennis, during their shared employment at Swedish Hospital in Englewood, Colorado. Their love blossomed and after their marriage, Kathy embraced her role as a dedicated mother to two children: Phil and Becky. In later years, she found profound joy as a cherished grandmother to three beautiful girls: Camille, Olivia, and Ava.
In pursuit of a better life for their family, Kathy and Dennis embarked on journeys to Texas and Louisiana. After a few years, they returned to Colorado finding a lasting home in Castle Rock, where they lovingly raised their family.
Kathy found joy and fulfillment during her time in the craft department at Walmart in Castle Rock, where her creativity and passion shone brightly. Her dedication and talents made a lasting impact on both her colleagues and the craft community. Beyond her work, Kathy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She marveled at the delicate beauty of hummingbirds, found companionship in poodles, and expressed her creativity through sewing. Kathy's passion for crafting extended to making blankets for expectant mothers, wrapping their children in warmth and care.
In their later years, Kathy and Dennis shared a profound love for adventure, embarking on trips to Las Vegas and enjoying camping adventures together. These escapades were enriched by the presence of their grandchildren, creating cherished memories that added a sparkling thread to the tapestry of their life.
Her memory will forever be engraved in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Kathy's legacy of love, resilience, and creativity will be dearly missed.
A celebration of life to honor Kathy's life will be held on a later date to ensure that attendees do not have to travel in poor weather conditions.
