Gregory A. Kilbourn, age 46, of Parker, passed away peacefully at home on October 29, 2024, with his family at his side. He was born on February 24, 1978, in West Virginia, a twin son to Howard Paul Kilbourn and Barbara Jean Jones. At the young age of two, Greg and his family moved to Colorado. He attended Douglas County High School, class of 1996. Throughout school and into adulthood, Greg and his twin brother, Geoff, were active in several sports, including softball, football, hockey, and golf.
Greg married the love of his life, Chelsi Lininger, in 2006, and together they have two children, Alex (13) and Cody (11). Greg’s children were the light of his life and his entire world; being a dad was his greatest joy. Brilliant and dedicated, Greg taught himself all he knew about computer programming and software testing, developing his career over the years.
Greg was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, camping, and hunting. His favorite moments were spent with close family and friends. Greg’s band of brothers -- including Geoff and their friends Josh, Phil, Kurt, and Zack, affectionately known as ST6 -- enjoyed countless camping and fishing trips, endless laughs, and even more shenanigans. Those close to Greg will remember him for his great sense of humor and for being a loyal and loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend.
Greg’s beloved family includes his wife, Chelsi, and their children, Alex and Cody; his twin brother, Geoffrey Kilbourn, his wife, Jenny, and their sons, Blake, Brady, and Ben; his mother and stepfather, Barbara and Bob Mitchell; his father- and mother-in-law, Ed and Jeannette Lininger; his brother-in-law, Lance Lininger, his wife, Amanda, and their children, Eva and Ellie; his brother-in-law, Scott Lininger, his wife, Dyan, and their children, Tyler and Noa; and countless cousins, aunts, uncles, and chosen family in his many friends. Greg was preceded in death by his father, Howard.
A celebration of Greg’s life will be at 11:00am on Friday, November 15, 2024, at Olinger Andrews Caldwell Gibson Chapel in Castle Rock. A reception will follow the service. You may join the service via live stream by following this link: https://scottlininger.com/greg
