She was born to the late Joseph and Leena Waring, in Denver, Colorado on June 28, 1937.
She was very proud of her family and was excited when she became “Granny” to her many grandchildren and “GiGi” to her many great grandchildren. Gladys loved holidays and family get-togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was important to her. She would spend hours cooking and preparing for her company.
Gladys was known for being feisty and sarcastic, yet still maintained a good sense of humor. If you didn’t find Gladys reading a mystery novel, then she would be watching the food network channel and cheering for her favorite sport team the Denver Broncos. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by the love of her life, Roy B. Williams III.
Survivors include her five children, Michael (Val) Olson of Wisconsin, Deborah (Robert) Quinonez of South Dakota, Ricky (Sharon) of Washington, Candy Nielsen of Colorado and Anny Styron of Kentucky. She is also survived by her sister Leanna Starr of Colorado.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Gladys touched are invited to a celebration of life on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 1:00pm at the Olinger Andrews Caldwell Gibson Chapel at 407 Jerry Street, Castle Rock.
