Sidney G. Campbell

Sidney Graham Campbell, 90, of Cary died April 28, 2011. He was born in Raleigh on July 29, 1920 to the late Ernie Denton Campbell and Carrie Bell Campbell. Mr. Campbell was a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his daughter, Patricia Currin and husband, Don of Clayton; grandchildren, Renee Frederick and husband, Trace of Middlesex, James Graham Johnson and wife, Shari of Mount Dora, FL, Stephanie Dupree and husband, Robbie of Willow Springs, Glendon Bass and wife, Dana of Benson, Wesley Currin Jr. of Raleigh, and Amanda J. Currin of Daytona Beach, FL; sisters, Helen Dudley, Elizabeth Bell, and Hazel Parrish and husband, Richard; and brother, Rommie Campbell and wife, Trina. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, Stephanie Mize and husband, Christopher; Kristal Norris and husband, Christopher; Dutch and Kaitlin Frederick; Amie, Alexandria, Isaac, Noah and Nathan Johnson; Kendall, Parker, and Brandon Dupree; Sarah and Michael Bass; and great-great grandchild, Christian Blake Norris.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gerry E. Campbell.

A funeral service will be held 2:00p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Macedonia United Methodist Church, 2700 Jones Franklin Road, Cary. Burial with military honors will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8p.m. Monday, May 2, 2011 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 S.E. Maynard Road, Cary.
