Sheila "Joan" Burns Lake

Sheila “Joan” Burns Lake, 73, was welcomed into the arms of her Heavenly Father on June 10, 2015. She was born in Huntington, WV on August 28, 1941. She was a homemaker who was devoted to her family and Christ. She loved reading, puzzles and cooking.

Joan is survived by her daughter, Kelly Lake Kirchman and husband, Jim, and their children, Blaine Youngquist, Connor Youngquist, Jared Kirchman, and Justin Kirchman; daughter-in-law, Robin Sellers Lake and her children, Christopher Lake and Steven Lake, and granddaughter, Olivia Harper Lake; and sister, Sue LeGrand and husband, Larry.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Allen Lake; son, Richard Allen Lake II; and sister, Sandra Phillips.

A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 S.E. Maynard Road, Cary, NC 27511. Burial will follow at Wake Memorial Park, 7002 Green Hope School Road, Cary, NC 27519.

The family will receive friends Friday, June 12, 2015 from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
