Roberta (Bobbie) Logan was born in Saigon, Vietnam to American parents abroad, Roger and Anastasia Lanouette. She spent early childhood in India (her father worked in the petroleum industry) and the first time she lived in the US was in 1965 in Kailua, Hawaii. She graduated from Paramus Catholic High School, Paramus, NJ in 1971, the University of Maryland at Baltimore School of Nursing in 1975, then married Ron Logan in 1977. She and Ron subsequently resided in Camp Springs, MD where she completed a Masters Degree in Nursing from the Catholic University, Washington DC, in 1980. She worked in OB/Gyn at Wake Med in Raleigh NC until her husband accepted a commission in the Navy as a Pharmacy Officer and they moved to Hayward, CA. While there she received her Nurse Practioner Degree in Women’s Health from the University of California in 1984. She worked for Kaiser Permanente in CA, Washington DC, and Kensington, MD. After her husband’s residency at Bethesda Naval Hospital they transferred to Naval Medical Clinics at Pearl Harbor, HI and she worked for Kaiser Permanente in Honolulu, HI. The Navy sent her husband to the University of Texas at Austin where she worked at Student Health. They moved to Cary, NC where Bobbie worked at NC State Student Health, then Wake Med and subsequently at Birth Choice Pregnancy Care Center in Raleigh for many years.
Bobbie lived a courageous and active life despite having undergone surgery for a congenital heart defect. She was a faithful member of St Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church where she volunteered for numerous committees and sang in the choir. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, son Timothy Logan, 98-year-old mother, Anastasia Lanouette, sister Annette Burnett, brother Roger Lanouette, sister Jane Gorman, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Bobbie was a wonderful, caring person who will be dearly missed.

A memorial service for Roberta will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 804 High House Rd, Cary, NC 27513.
