Raymond Leonidas Wilder

Raymond was born August 22, 1927 in Raleigh, NC to the late Milton Ashley Wilder and Myrtis Hutchins Wilder. He was a WWII and Korean War veteran of the US Navy and a retired Rural Route Carrier with the US Postal Service. Raymond was a member of Forest Hills Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his great granddaughter, Ashley Ormond.

Raymond is survived by his wife of 61 years, Pauline Coley Wilder; sons, R.L. Wilder, Jr. and his wife, Hilda of Cary; Paul Wilder and his wife, Nancy of Raleigh; and Jeffrey Wilder and his wife, Debora of Lynchburg, VA; brother, Sam Wilder and his wife, Jackie of Wilmington; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home Chapel, 200 SE Maynard Road, Cary, NC 27511. Burial will follow the service at Raleigh Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Road, Cary, NC 27511.
