Lois Ann Osborn Wing, 75, of Holly Springs, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer and Alzheimer's disease. Born and raised in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. Lois was the devoted wife of her beloved husband Greg, whom she married in 1971. She is survived by their two sons and their spouses: Brian and Jon, and Kevin and Gislaine.
Lois lived a full and rich life, calling many places home, including Wellington, Florida; Geneva, Illinois; Alpharetta, Georgia; and Raleigh, North Carolina, before ultimately settling in Holly Springs. She dedicated herself to raising her sons and creating a loving home, filled with warmth and joy. Music was a constant in Lois's life-she loved to sing, whether in the church choir or around the piano. One of her favorite songs was "Over the Rainbow" from The Wizard of Oz, the first movie she ever saw in a theater.
Lois was also passionate about reading, bowling, and giving back to her community. She volunteered with the Radio Reading Service, where she read news and articles to the visually impaired, a cause that was close to her heart.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, David and Grace Osborn, and her nephew Nathaniel Clifford. She is survived by her two brothers, Larry Osborn and his wife Carlene, and Bill Osborn and his wife Karon. She was a beloved aunt to Larry and Carlene's son Chris and his wife Sara, and Bill and Karon's daughter Rachel and her husband Greg Cotter, along with their three children, Griffin, Camden and Nolan.
Lois will be remembered for her generous heart, her love of music, and the light she brought into the lives of those around her. Her family and friends will cherish the memories of her warm voice and loving spirit, even as they remember her bravery in the face of Alzheimer's disease.
A celebration of life will be held for family and friends.
