Larry Graham Wayne

Larry Graham Wayne, 88 of Cary, NC, passed away on March 3, 2024. He was born in Olympia, NC on May 21, 1935 to Graham Holton Wayne and Jesse Doris Wayne. He was married to LaRue Jones Wayne for 63 years.

Larry was a wonderful Husband, Father and Grandfather. Larry had a 29 year career in banking with Central Carolina Bank. He was a member of the Board of Directors for Piedmont Community College. Larry was instrumental in establishing the Small Business Incubator in Roxboro, NC. He was also a member of the River Keepers and a proud graduate of East Carolina University. Larry had a passion of Eastern North Carolina BBQ, Boating and the North Carolina Senior games which he participated in with his Mother.

He was preceded in death by his parents Graham and Doris Wayne and his Brother-In Law John Broughton.

He is survived by his wife LaRue Wayne, his Sister Becky Broughton. His children Sheri Stockton (Stuart) and Steve Wayne (Shireen) and his Grandchildren Brandon Wayne and Jaden Wayne.

The Celebration of Life will be held Friday March 8,2024 at 1:00pm at the Spiritual Life Center at Glenaire Retirement Community located at 6000 Glenview Garden Place, Cary, NC 27511.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to Triangleland.org or First United Methodist Church of Cary.
